Lagos Solution for Water Shortages

The Lagos State Government through its Commissioner for Environment, Babtunde Adejare has announced that it will be providing Water Distribution Kiosk Systems for residents facing water shortages following the problems with distribution and power at its Lagos State Corporation. The Government provides an average of 210 million gallons per day  in a state whose  demand  is pegged at 350 million gallons. The present shortage and scarcity being experienced is due to problems of  Power generation for the pumps and distribution to pipelines brought on by the vandalisation of Plants at the Water Corporation. The government announced it is working tirelessly to fix the problem soonest. Till this happens residents are advised to go purchase water from the various kiosks in the hard hit areas.
