Benue State University Administration and Student Body Finally Agree on Fees and Conditional Charges Reduction.

After Protests by the Students over the increase by about 400% in Conditional Fees at the University weeks ago, The Administration of the Benue State University has finally come to an agreement during negotiations with the students to reduce the fees and charges.The new fees are now increased from the former rates by 50%. The students had staged protests earlier last month that resulted in obstruction of traffic on a major highway running through the state and the closure of the University. For a state notorious for owing workers salaries, It is a surprise that the Fees and Charges increment was made at such a time. Students have now been advised to commence payment and resume at the University.
