The National Industrial Court NIC has stopped the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, the Trade Union Congress from going on with their planned national strike.
The Federal Government has invited the leadership of NLC, TUC to a meeting over the planned national strike.
President of the court, Babatunde Adejumo gave the order on Tuesday, May 17 as the Federal Government and labour leaders continue to meet over reduction in fuel pump price. It was reported at the weekend that the organised labour and Civil Societies gave the Federal Government an ultimatum till midnight on Tuesday to reverse the increase or face an indefinite national strike now it seems that strike action has been averted.
