Following the Water Scarcity reported in some parts of the state and being broadcast on social media platforms the Lagos Water Corporation has issued a statement appealing for calm and understanding from residents especially the Ojudu axis.
In a statement issued today by the Corporation,It was noted that the disruption of water supply is due to shortage of gas in its Independent Power Plant (IPP) at Akute Intake and other water power plants as a result of current vandalization of gas pipelines in the Niger Delta Region of the Country.
While stating that the shortage of gas has adversely affected the production at its various water facilities across the State, it maintained that the Corporation is currently working relentlessly on available alternative power supply for its Waterworks.
The statement therefore assured the public of the Corporation’s commitment to providing uninterrupted water supply soon and urged them to bear with her as the problem will soon be rectified.
